Machine Sewist

Cutting & Machine Sewing team members will be responsible for cutting bags out of leather hides and sewing them to then pass on to Product Assembly team members. We are looking for motivated individuals with a positive attitude to add to our team. Prior experience is appreciated but not necessary for this position. Starting pay is based upon experience. Applicants with no experience start training at $15.00 hr. After trained and efficient you can make as much as 50k a year with paid holidays and vacation. Please see the details below. 

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Cut out products using a hydraulic press (no prior experience necessary) 
• Sew products on industrial sewing machine 
• Have careful attention to detail for each cutting/sewing process
• Manage a list of assigned products/inventory to make

Preferred Skills:

• Self Motivated with a positive attitude
• Ability to Self Manage well in a fast paced environment 
• Ability to work well with a team
• Prior Experience efficiently use a sewing machine 
• Prior Experience cutting leather/canvas
• Ability to be teachable & receive/follow instruction from managers/team members
• Prior Experience constructing/designing anything hands-on

Physical Job Requirements:

• Able to stand/sit for prolonged periods throughout the day 
• Able to perform daily physical tasks required to make products (lifting packages up to 30lbs, handling solid steel dies for cutting)
